Lowrance __________ Samuel Robert Lowrance died at his home near here Monday, May 24, following a week's illness. He was 76. Services wre held at the Midway Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 by Rev. C.A. Wingo of Memphis, assisted by Rev. Dick Nelson of Jackson. Burial was in the Yorkville Cemetery, Baird Bros. in charge. Mr. Lowrance was born in Gibson County, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Lowrance. He had lived in the section all his life. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Georgia Lowrance; ten children: V.R. Lowrance, Newbern; A.S. Lowrance, Dyersburg; Mrs. Herman Campbell; Mrs. Glynn Fletcher, Mrs. Frank Dodson, Mrs. Wallace Thornton, all of Dyer; Mrs. George M. Davis and Hollis Lowrance, of Trenton; John W. Lowrance, Nashville, and Mrs. Ira Singleton Jr., Kenneth, Mo. He also leaves two brothers, J.A. Lowrance of Crockett Mills, Tenn., and J.I. Lowrance, Humboldt; two sisters, Mrs. Josie Fewell and Mrs. Ab Green, both of Friendship.
