This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Mariloujacob@aol.com ==================================================================================== Gibson County Court September Term, 1859 p311/312 John White's Will I John White do make & publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made first- I direct that my funeral expenses and all my (ink smudged) be paid as soon after my death as possible and of any moneys that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my Executor " Secondly I give and bequeath to Sarah P White my wife my tract of land I now live on and house hold and kitchen furniture and my negro girl Catharine to have & to hold her natural lifetime or during her widowhood and & that I desire that she have my bay mare and my cow and calf one sow and eight shoats and all (illegible) sheep and all the present crop of corn and fodder and all the crop of wheat & all the present crop of potatoes two plows & one pair of gun(?) and at the death of my wife Sarah P White my (illegible) to be divided among all of my children & if my girl Catharine should out live my wife Sarah P White to be divided equally among the children And I desire that John my son have the bay colt and Saddle and bridle and I desire that my three Daughters Mary A White Nancy L White and Sarah Y White each their Saddles and lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint William Rufus White my executor in witness whereof I do to this my will set my hand and seal this the 29 day of June 1859 Signed and Sealed in our John White presence and we have Seal Subscribed our names hereto in the presence of the testator this the 29 day of June 1859 Test JDLayton James S Haynes W R White Executor Bond State of Tennessee Gibson County We W R White Job Hicks & Jno M Armstrong are bound to the State of Tennessee in the penalty of one thousand Dollars witness our hands and Seals this 5 day of September 1859 The conditions of this obligation is Such that whereas the above bound William R. White has been appointed Executor of the good & chattels rights and (illegible) of John White deceased Now if the said WR White shall well and hulp (?) perform all the duties which are or may be required of him by law as such Executor this obligation shall be void otherwise to remain in full force & vistur (?)
