TN Uriah Bass to Dennis Condry Registered May 25, 1801 This indenture made this twenty sixty day of September in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and one between Uriah Bass by virtue of a power of attorney to me given by Joseph Green both of the county of Wayne, state of North Carolina of the one part and Dennis Condry of Grainger & State of Tennessee of the other part Witnesseth that the said Uriah Bass by virtue of a power of attorney aforesaid, for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and twenty three dollars to him in hand paid by the said Dennis Condry at and before the signing and sealing of these presents, the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged for himself and his heirs, doth hereby bargain, sell a lien _______and confirm unto him the said Dennis Condry his heirs and ____and assigns for ever part of a certain tract or parcel of land in the county of Grainger and State of Tennessee, lying on both sides of the north fork of Bull Run patented by Needham Whitfield for four hundred acres No. 677 Bearing date of 11 July 1788 beginning at a beech on a small island of the creek said Whitfields Beginning and runs past one hundred and sixty poles to said Whitfields corner, thence north one hundred poles to Joseph Green's five hundred poles to said Whitfields line, then west one hundred and forty two poles with said Whitfields line, then south two hundred poles to said Whitfields east line, then east fifty five poles to the beginning, containing two hundred and twenty three acres more or less, which said piece or parcel of land with all ___woods waters and every other appertainency thereunto belonging or appertaining the said Uriah Bass by virtue of a power of attorney aforesaid for himself his heirs executors and administrators hath here sold set over conveyed released and confirmed in an open marked to said Dennis Condry his heirs executors and administrators and assigns and he the said Uriah Bass by virtue aforesaid, for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth hereby covenant and promise to and with the said Dennis Condry his heirs executors or assigns that he the said Uriah Bass by virtue aforesaid and his heirs executors and administrators shall and will warrant and forever defend the said piece or parcel of land with all and every of its members and appurtenances, free from all lawful claim of any person or persons whatsoever unto the said Dennis Condry his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever.
