MAJORS, Vaughn David -- 80, passed away at 5:25 a.m. Friday at his home at 1401 West Fifth Avenue. Survivors: daughters -- Mrs. Beatrice Wolfenbarger, Knoxville; Mrs. Mildred Garvey, Redondo Beach, Calif.; and Mrs. Hannie Whitson, Knoxville; sons -- McKinley Majors, Powell; K. V. Majors, Mosheim; Rev. Hubert Majors, Corryton and Henry Layrue Majors, Long Beach, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Services are Sunday at 2 p.m. at Washburn Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The body will lie in state one hour. Rev. Clarence Turner and Rev. Andy Vance officiating. Interment in Acuff Cemetery, Washburn. Pallbearers; Bill Jones, Benny Waggoner, Gary Wolfenbarger, Herbert Jones, Allen Hicks, and Mike Adams. The body is at the home. He was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Grainger County and Brotherhood of Railway Carmen Lodge No. 47. He was a retired employee of Southern Railway with 45 years service. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Hopson; daughters, Mrs. W.V. Conner, Mrs. D.L. Swanner, both of Knoxville; step-daughters, Mrs. Phil Gillenwater, Knoxville, Mrs. J.G. Survivors, wife, Mrs. Edith Brown Majors; step-son, Billy Brown, California; daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Buck, Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, the Rev.
