STATE OF TENNESSEE,  GRAINGER COUNTY.

To any regular Minister of the Gospel having the care of souls, or any 
Judge or Justice of the Peace for said County~Greeting:

    J. M. Goldwall?, Clerk of the County  Court; for said COUNTY of 
GRAINGER aforesaid, by virtue of the power in me vested by law, do License 
You, or either of You, to celebrate the rights of Matrimony, between  Wm.  
TRAVIS and  L.A. POTTER by uniting them together as husband and wife.

    Given at Office in Rutledge the 13th day of June 1865, and of American  
Independence the 92nd.

Note:  In the  Widows Civil War Pension File, it contained the following 
documentation of marriage for L.A. POTTER and Wm. TRAVIS>

    Court for said County aforesaid Certify that the foregoing is a true 
copy of a Marriage license issued to Wm. TRAVIS & L.A. POTTER
together with the return of Hamilton James JP, endorsed thereon as the same  
appears from said license on file in my office.
    Witness My Hand and Official Seal at Office in Rutledge, Tennessee
