CARTER FAMILY CEMETERY 
Read March 2000 by Renaee Marotte
Going West from Greeneville, turn at onto Blue Springs Rd. in Mosheim.  At 
caution light in Mosheim, take Brown Springs Rd. to the end.  At the end, turn 
left onto Mt. Carmel Rd.  Take next right onto state road 70.  Cross I-81, 
after crossing I-81, approximately 3/4-1 mile on the right will be a street 
sign for Doolittle Rd.  Turn right onto Doolittle.  Continue on Doolittle 
until you see the cemetery in a pasture behind a house with barns. The 
cemetery is on private property, please obtain permission to view. The 
cemetery has been taken care of, somewhat.  Many of the headstones were turned 
over and we picked-up as many as we could.  Some headstones are nothing more 
than smooth fieldstone now and were impossible to get readings from.  Someone 
has reinforced Rachel Carter's headstone with bars of steel on either side.
