KNOX COUNTY, KY - DEEDS - Giles and Phebe Parman Senr to William Hubbs ----¤¤¤---- Contributor's Note: Giles Parman and his wife Phoebe Woolsey Parman were married in Greene County, TN in 1799, and lived in that county through 1813. Conveyance - Giles Parman, Sr. and William Hubbs 150 Acres - Flatt Creek Knox County Deed Book B, Page 369 Dated 20 August 1815 This indenture made the 20th day of August 1815 between Giles Parman, Snr., and Phebe Parman, his wife, of Knox County and State of Kentucky of the one part and William Hubbs, of the County of Knox and State of Tennessee of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Giles Parman and Phebe, his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of $300 to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day bargained and sold unto the said William Hubbs part of a certain tract or parcel of land containing by estimation one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less, and bounded as follows: To wit: Beginning at a dogwood; thence N 7 W 76 poles running along a conditional line of Slaughter to a red oak and poplar; thence N 81 W 153 poles to a red and white oak; thence S 9 W 180 poles crossing Flat Creek to a white and beech standing on the side of a hill; thence S 81 E 97 poles to a marked white oak on said line a conditional corner between said Parman and said Hubbs; thence a direct course 92 poles to a marked horn beam on the bank of Flat Creek; thence up said creek 86 poles to the mouth of a small branch to a marked sweet gum and two horned beams; thence a direct course 65 poles to the beginning, to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land before mentioned with all of the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of him, the said William Hubbs, his heirs, and assigns forever free from the claim of the said Giles Parman and Phebe, his wife, his or their heirs and assigns or from the commonwealth of Kentucky, or any person claiming from, by, or through the said Giles Parman and wife, their heirs and assigns, but no other person or persons whatever will warrant and defend forever the same.
