At a court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions begun and held for the County of Greene at the court house in said county on the first Monday in Aug Anno Dom 1788 Present the worshipful Joseph Hardin & John Newman Esqrs Court called and adjourned but did not proceed to business-until tomorrow morning 9 oclock Tuesday met according to adjournment John McNabb, Alex Outlaw, Abraham McCoy & Alex Galbreath took the oath necessary for the qualifications of Public Oficers and the oath of a Justice of the Pece took their seats in court and proceeded to business John McNary, Alex McGinty, David Allison, Archibald Roan & Joseph Hamilton Esqrs took the oath of practising attorneys and were admitted accordingly George Doherty Esqr took the oath appointed for the qualifications of Public Officers and the oath of a Justice of the Peace and took his seat in Court and proceeded to business Andrew Jackson Esqr took the oath of a practising attorney ______________________________________________________________________ pg 93 A mortage bond from Edward [?] to John Hill dated the 21st day of July 1788 for two tracts of land containing 200 acres each on Dumplin Creek joining [?Trout & Frithesons?] land conditioned for payment of ninety-six pounds in horse flesh at cash rates with interest on or before the 1st day of July 1790 was duly proven by the oaths of Arch Campbell and John Finn & So [?] witnesses and admitted to record fees paid On motion made and affidavit filed ordered that the Negro man named Tarter and a Negro woman named Esther in the Public Gaol of this county be delivered to Thomas Goff son to Thomas Goff Senr of Pitt County they appearing to the court to be the property of said Thomas he discharging the fees due thereon fees paid David Kenedy entered into bond himself with James Rees Esqr & JOhn Hardin his securities in the sum of 1000(pounds) for the full compliance of the duties enjoined on him by an act for transmitting to the comptrollers office the amount of taxable property in this county He also had his former bond approved by the Court entered into at May Term A Grand Jury called to witt disand not qualifying The last will and testament of Peter King dec'd was duly proven by the oaths of Edward Hughes, Jonas Kindrick & Margaret Kindrick his wife subscribing witnesses and admitted to record Jonas Kindrick sworn as Executor of said will Ord that Letters of Testamentary Issue on the said estate Jonas Kindrick Exc 12 6 pd clk fees PTT?
