Her daughter, Rebecca Sevier applied for increase of her mother's pension while living in Greene County, Tenn. on July 17, 1851. Valentine Sevier served as a Major in the Army of the Revolution. She states that at that time of her mother's death (1845) she had only two living children, James Sevier and Rebecca Sevier Rector and that Valentine Sevier died some fifty years ago.
