Inez M. Kyte 





    Inez M. Kyte, 88, of Elizabethton, died Friday, July 21, 2006, at Life 

Care Center of Elizabethton. 





    Mrs. Kyte was a native of Greene County and a daughter of the late Jake 

Alonza and Jenny Smith Beamer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in 

death by two daughters, Betty Louise Buckles and Helen Barbara Ray, and by two 

sisters and three brothers. 





    Mrs. Kyte had lived in Elizabethton most of her life. She was a retired 

employee of North American Rayon Corporation. 





    Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie Jean and Royce 

Watrous, Johnson City; and two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dennis Edward Ray, 

Elizabethton, and Billy Jack and Jennifer Ray, Costa Mesa, Calif. Six 

grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also 

survive. 





    Funeral services for Mrs. Kyte will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 

24, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Father Dennis 

Kress officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the 

funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Monday, will be John McDowell, Keith Ray, Chris 

Fox, Dan Ray, Allen Watrous, Clayton Ray, Brandon Fox and Cody Fox. Friends 

may call at the funeral home Sunday until 5 p.m. Family and friends will 

assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Monday to go to the cemetery.
