GREENE COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Tella Darnell Seaton, 10 Aug 2004

GREENEVILLE, TN - Tella Darnell Seaton, 79, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 
2004 at the home of her daughter. She was the daughter of the late 
Vestal and Oma Plemmons Darnell. She was also preceded in death by 
two sisters, Marie Trantham and Hazel Waddell; and one brother, Kester 
Darnell.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Seaton of the home; a son, Hugh 
V. Gates of Harrison, MI; three daughters, Bonnie S. Marshall of Southgate, 
MI, Brenda Lankford of Spruce Pine, and Jean Gates Pyatt of Nebo; three 
stepsons, Bobby, Mike and Jim Seaton, all of Greeneville; two step daughters, 
Carolyn Waddell and Brenda Painter, both of Greeneville; six sisters, 
Gertha Massey, Faye Massey, and Helen Willett, all of Spring Creek, Grace 
Sutton of Candler, Olive Gentry of Greeneville, and Wilma Gentry of Johnson 
City, TN; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great great 
grandchild. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Liberty Baptist Church. 
Burial was in Liberty Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. 
Wednesday at the funeral home.
