Every effort was made to copy word for word and use spelling as found on the document Henry Yeakley To all whom it may concern. Be it know, That I Henry Yeakley senr. of Greene County & the State of Tennessee, being weak in the body, but of sound & perfect mind, memory, and understanding, (thanks be to the Almighty for his mercies) and calling to mind that it is appointed for all men once to die, I do make & constitute this to be my Last Will & Testament and as touching my worldly Estate. I give, demise & dispose of in the following manner; to wit First - That my funeral charges and Just Debts be paid out of my moveable estate. Secondly - I will & bequeath unto my beloved wife Susannah Yeakley all of my lands & Tenements, to wit, the plantation whereon I now live containing one hundred & thirty four acres, also my twenty acres of land lying & joining the lands of James Jones, James McCollum & Anthony Hoggatt, said twenty acres being in two surveys to wit five acres thereof in one survey & grant, and fifteen acres thereof out of the south end of my twenty five acre Survey made in partnership between me & and the said James Jones the said Several tracts & parcels of Land in the whole one hundred & fifty four acres (as aforesaid) I allow Give & Bequeath unto my wife during her natural life. Together with my household & kitchen furniture & farming utensials or as much thereof as she may think necessary for the use & support of my family. I also give and allow her to have and take choice of two of my horse beasts, and choice of five of my cattle, all of my stock of hogs and Sheep, my Loom & Taskling to have & to hold the several above alluded items of my movable estate for her use & disposal forever. Thirdly - I have heretofore give and paid unto my son Samuel Yeakley & to my Daughter Mary Mainees, and to my son Henry Yeakley, & to my son Isaiah Yeakley when & since they left me what I considered to be each of their proportionable part of my Estate. forthly - I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth the sum of fifty Dollars that may be paid in four equal Yearly Instalments in some good lively trade By my Executors, out of my movable estate. fifthly - The remainder of my movable estate if any there be I Desire and allow to be Divided Equal between said Elizabeth and the remainder of my children Namely, George, John, Jacob, Joseph, Malikiah, Ann, Lydia & Sarah, to be paid unto them by my Executor as they severally arrive to Lawfull age. Sixthly - I will and Bequest that the Death of my wife Susanah that the whole of my above mentioned lands be sold at not less then five years credit, & the price thereof to be Divided Equal between my Nine last named children, to wit. Elizabeth, George, Ann, John, Jacob, Lydia, Sarah, Joseph and Malikiah, to be paid to them or either of their legal representatives. Seventhly. I constitute, make & ordain my beloved Son Henry Yeakley - my sole & absolute Executor of this my last Will and Testament, and I do hereby revoke & Disannull, all & every former Will & Testament, Legacies bequeaths or Executors by me in any way Willed hereby - Ratifying & confirming this & no other, to be my Last Well & Testament. - In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal, this twentieth Day of December in the year of our Lord, One Thousand eight hundred & twenty five.
