Go north from Chattanooga to Birchwood road, then follow road at left, going north to Denney Cut. The land for the Cemetery was given by Wm. Denney, his grave being of the old limestone vault which is marked 1830. His age was 73 years old. His son, W M Denny was the oldest at death, and was 88 years of age. There are twenty unmarked graves. DENNEY In memory of Denney, W M - Died Aug 5, 1878 - Age about 88. In memory of Denney, Mary - Wife of William Denney - Mar 10, 1870 - Age about 74 yrs. (She was a devoted member of the Baptist Church for about 52 years.) Denney, Wm, Sr. - Died about 1830 - Age 73 years. (Body in rock vault.) Moon, T J - Wife of W N Moon - Jan 10, 1862 - Sept 23, 1903 Wolfe, Mary E - Wife of F M Wolfe - Mar 13, 1869 - July 14, 1894 - 'Gone but not forgotten.' Leamon, Lillie - Wife of Luther Leamon - July 6, 1884 - Nov23, 1903 - Age 19 yrs. 5 mos. 17 dys. (Member of Baptist Church for about 6 yrs.) Leamon, Minnie I - Wife of Luther Leamon - Oct 6, 1880 - Feb 25, 1907 (Member of Baptist Church 13 yrs.)
