The cemetery is located one half mile from Shephard Schoolhouse. The land for cemetery was given by Mr H T Hancock, but is now owned by Mr Poe. There are twenty or thirty very old unmarked graves. A few Indians are buried here. Benjamin Hancock has the oldest marker which is 1854.
