Follow highway 64, turning left at Tyner and taking the Hickory Valley road for about a mile then turn to the Tyner road which is about one mile. The land was donated by Mr R G Jones around 1880, Mr Jones having the oldest marked grave. It is fifty years old. There are about twenty unmarked graves. Varnell, F M - Feb 1, 1830 - Nov 14, 1900 Varnell, M A - Nov 4, 1846 - July 25, 1894 Varnell, Carl - Son of F M and S M Varnell - Oct 1, 1903 - Aug 6, 1904 Varnell, Sallie M - Nov 1, 1868 - May 29, 1909 Varnell, F Marshall - Mar 12, 1864 - Aug 30, 1907 Rose, Naomi L - Daughter of C M and F V Rose - Sept 6, 1911 - July 30, 1915 - 'Sleep on dear child, and take thy rest, In Jesus arms forever blest.' Whittle, J M - April 15, 1870 - July 17, 1908 - 'A kind wife mourns in thee a husband lost the poor a friend who felt what friendship cost.' Whittle, Raymond - July 28, 1903 - Oct 30, 1903 - 'Rest little one, a mother's tears may fall, but not for worlds would she, her child recall.' Jones, R G - Oct 4, 1823 - Mar 23, 1888 - 'God in His wisdom hath recalled, the boon His love had given and though the body moulders here, the soul is safe in Heaven.'
