                   Mt Vernon Baptist Cemetery


The Mt Vernon Baptist Cemetery is located thirty two miles northeast 
of Chattanooga. Follow highway # 27 north to Daughtrey Ford road 
twenty eight miles, turning two miles northeast to Shipley Hollow 
road, two miles. The land was donated by two brothers, Zeb. and 
Green Lawson, but is now owned by Mr A J Morgan. There are about 
two hundred very old unmarked graves.
