A citizen of Hamilton county, Tenessee, discovered recently that there was no official record of his marriage which had taken place several years ago. The minister who performed the ceremony had gone to parts unknown and the gentlemen is searching for him. This circumstance led to an investigation which disclosed the astonishing fact that there is no official record of the marriage of fully 300 of the good husbands and wives of the county. The Chattanooga Sunday Times prints a list of more that 1000 licenses granted from 1894-1895, inclusively of the execution of which there appears no official record.
