This certifies that Emil Ertman, 748 982 was a member of the United States

Army from September 13, 1913 to July 22, 1918. Service was terminated by

Honorable Discharge, last grade, rank or rating Corporal. Active service dates 

September 13, 1913 - July 22, 1918. Given at St. Louis, Missouri on October 

10, 2002. National Archives and Record Administration Seal

Emil Andrew Ertman enter the U.S. Regular Army on September 13, 1913 at

Columbus Barracks Cleveland,Cuyahoga County,OH at age 21 2/12 years serving 

with General Service Infantry; Camp McGrath 62nd AW Philippines; Fort McKinley 

15th Infantry Philippines; Motor Transport Co. #45; Motor 

Transport Co. #15 in Mexico under General Pershing; Quartermaster Corp Fort 

Sam Houston Texas where he made the rank of Corporal; Co. "C" 3rd Supply Train.

He was also posted at the War Prison Barracks #2 Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.
