Barrett CHATTANOOGA -- Mr. John Frank Barrett, 58, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Chattanooga. He was a graduate of Greendale High School and served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. John owned and operated Barrific Arena and Stables in Dayton, Tenn., and attended Gravesville Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Roscoe Barrett and Annie Gertrude Barrett; sisters Fannie Stevens and Carlene Barrett; and a brother, Carl Barrett. Survivors include his wife, Patty Barrett; a son, John Barrett II of Crossville, Tenn.; two daughters, Jennifer Barrett of Crossville and Leigh Johnson of Fayetteville, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Angie Whinnery of Nashville and Tonya Trussell of States Berry, Ga.; four grandchildren; five brothers, Larry Barrett and Mike Barrett, both of Abingdon, Gerald Barrett of Saltville, James Robert Barrett of Nokesville, Va., and Clarence Barrett of Salisbury, Md.; seven sisters, Julie Roark, Barbara Armstrong, Carolyn Davis, Linda Roark and Patsy Powers, all of Abingdon, Josie Parker of Hayter's Gap, Va., and Mary Quinn of Biloxi, Miss.
