Avent/Marshall Cemetery

Take highway 18 South 3.8 miles until you come to Van Buren Rd.  Stay on
it 9.8 miles.  This cemetery is located on the right side of the road.
It has been cleaned up so it is easier to see the stones.  I had to
guess at some of the spelling and dates as the headstones were covered
with overgrowth for a long time.

Gustava Martins parents were William Charles "Will" Cosser born Oct 1
1857 in Hardeman Co, died 5 Jul 1940 in Hardeman Co.  Williams parents
were Charles & Margaret "Maggie" Cosser.  William married first Willie
Ann Smalley  daughter of Pitzer Smalley & Maria Achord.  Willie Ann was
born 15 Jan 1875 and died 9 May 1893.  Willie Ann and William were
married 1 Jan 1893 in Hardeman Co., TN.  

William married second Ivy Ella Pierce born 3 Jan 1880 died 1963 in
Hardeman Co., TN.  William & Ivy were married 12 Jan 1899.  Ivy is the
daughter of Lewis Pierce and Rebecca Radford Pierce.  Their children
were:
