Michael McKinnie 5 May 1783-9 Sep 1840 born in Wayne Co., NC came to Hardeman Co in 1825.  His parents were William McKinnie Jr. 19 Feb 1749-17 Sep 1790 and Mary Jernigan McKinnie 5 April 1752-4 Jun 1814.  Married Charlotte Lottie Pope 3 May 1788-7 Aug 1861 daughter of Solomon Pope.
