Higgs, John                   22 Jan 1811-24 Jan 1835 s/o T. & M.P. Higgs
Higgs, Mary P. Brantly        1790-13 Sep 1869 w/o Theophilus Higgs Sr. 
d/o Sam Brantly of Irish decant born Halifax Co., NC came to Hardeman Co 
in 1848 with son Theophilus Higgs Jr. and two daughters, Louvenia and 
Martha J. Higgs. Theophilus Higgs Sr. was born in 1786 in Northampron, 
NC of French descent and died in 1825 in NC.  


Also buried here are the following:

Higgs, Reuben     25 Nov 1810-24 May 1845 born Halifax Co., NC 
h/o Elizabeth Higgs (a cousin) s/o Jacob & Sarah Bishop Higgs of Halifax
Co., NC. Near Scotland Neck. Came to Hardeman Co., TN about 1836 and
settled north of Bolivar.  

Higgs, Elizabeth    18 Aug 1817-20 Mar 1844 w/o Reuben Higgs 
d/o Theophilus & Mary P. Brantley Higgs.  Their children were;
Wiley, Marcus, Prudence and Jacob 

Others of the Higgs family are:
Wiley Higgs 11 May 1840-19 Nov 1898 h/o Mary Affire Robinson m 16 Jan 1867.  
Wiley was a Captain in the CSA.
Higgs, Mary Affire Robinson  5 Jul 1848-12 Oct 1924 
d/o Darius & Eliza Jane Usher Robinson of Hickory Valley.  Their
children were, Reuben Darius, Velma, Frank, John Richard, Hugh Wiley,
Alice Elizabeth, Albert Patrick, Marcus Lafayette, Lucille Elinor and
Katherine.
