			Silerton Baptist Church

Organized in 1899 some of the charter members were; Dr. W.H. Siler, Nancy 
Cain, A.T. McPherson, Arminty Siler Jones, Susan Siler, Eliza Siler and Mrs. 
Maggie Siler, Dr. Siler’s mother. The first pastor was, Brother M.R. Cooper.  
Other pastor’s were: W.R. Hill, M.E. Dodd, Tom Siler, J.W. Camp, W.H. 
Williams, T.R. Hammons, M.T. Brumbelow, James, Farrer, Lamar Boothe, Elvis 
McCord, Robert Gibson, Hulon Patterson, Tim West, Jimmy Garrett, Orville 
McMahan, and  Clay Adams.  The current pastor is Bob Gibson.
