All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/tn/tnfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Cheryl Thompson Cherylt4@prodigy.net June 17, 2006, 9:37 pm Written: March 23, 1887 Recorded: April 26, 1887 Nat Huddleston To} Deed Church Lot Albert Willis et al Trustees Registered April 26" 1887 Know all by these presents, That for and in consideration of the interest I have in the promotion of the caus of Christianity, I Nathaniel Huddleston of the County of Hardeman and State of Tennessee have this day given granted and conveyed unto Albert Willis col David Hall col Eldridge Chisum col of said county and state as trustee for the Baptist church known under the name of Pleasant View in the 13th Civil District of Hardeman County Tennessee and their successors as such forever the following discribed parcel of land as a church lot for said Pleasant View Church which is in range 1 and section 4 in the 10th surveyors District in the county of Hardeman and State of Tennessee and bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a red oak with 2 Red oak and 1 white Oak pointers it being the northwest corner of said Pleasant View Church lot runs south 10 yards to a stake with two Black Jack Pointers Thence east 70 yards to a stake with two Black Jack Pointers Thence north 70 yards to a stake with two persimmon pointers thence west 70 yards to the beginning Containing by estimation one acre be the same more or less to have and to hold the same unto the said Albert Willis David Hall and Eldridge Chisum as trustees for the said Baptist Church Pleasant View and their successors as such forever I covenant with the said trustees that I am lawfully seized possessed of said land that the same is unencumbered and that I have a good right to convey it I further covenant and bind m self my heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the title to the said lot of land and all improvements thereon to the said Albert Willis David Hall & Eldridge Chisum as trustees aforesaid for said Pleasant View Church and to their successors as such forever However if at any time said lot of land should cease to be used as a church lot & for church purposes then the same is to revert to me or to my heirs and assigns against the right title interest and claims of any and all ---sory whomsoever In testimony where of I hereunto set my hand and seal on this the 23" day of March 1887 N Huddleston File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/tn/hardeman/deeds/huddlest42gdd.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/tnfiles/ File size: 2.8 Kb
