Tennessee State Archives December 10, 1886
Gus Willis, the 13 year old son of Mr. Shed Willis, of the 14th district, who 

accidentally shot himself about the first of the month while hunting, an 

account of which appeared in our last issue, has since died.  This is another 

evidence of the folly of allowing small boys to go out with guns.
