I Susanna Blackman of the County of Sampson of State of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory Blessed be God for his mercies do make this my last will and testament in manner and form as following - viz - In the first place it is my will and desire that my Executor hereinafter named to pay off all my just debts of every description, my funeral charges of whatever nature - Item - I will and bequeathe to my daughter Ann Crawford the sum of one dollar and one third of my wearing apparel and two silver table spoons and two silver tea spoons. Item - I will and bequeathe to my daughter Olive McKinne the sum of one dollar and one third of my wearing apparel and two silver table spoons and two silver tea spoons. Item - I will and bequeathe to my daughter Mary Hooks one desk, one small mahogany table, two looking glasses, all my crockery and glassware, all my farming utensils - all my hogsheads and barrels, all the old irons of every description about my houses, all my household and kitchen furniture, not otherwise disposed of by this will, two silver table spoons and tea silver tea spoons and one third of my wearing apparel - two small trunks. Item - I will and bequeathe to my eleven grand children viz - Sarah McKinne, William Crawford, Susy McKinne, Eliza Stephens, Isaac Crawford, Betsey Crawford, Olive Crawford, Ashley R. Crawford, Nathan G. Crawford, Eveline Crawford, Alexander F. Crawford each the sum of two hundred dollars out of my estate. Item - I will and bequeathe to my two grand daughters Eliza Stephens and Olive Crawford a feather bead and furniture each. Item - I will and bequeathe to my six grand children the children of Olive McKinne - viz - Wm McKinne, Betsey McKinne, Sarah Ann McKinne, John Gibbons McKinne, Barnabas McKinne and one name not recollected the sum of two hundred dollars each out of my estate. Item - I will and bequeathe to my two grand daughters Betsey McKinne and Sarah McKinne a feather bead and furniture each and two walnut tables one table to each of said grand daughters. Item - I will and bequeathe to my three grand sons the children of Mary Hooks - viz - William Hooks, Franklin Hooks and John Hooks the sum of two hundred dollars each out of my estate. Item - I will and bequeathe to my two grand children William Hooks and Franklin Hooks a feather bead and furniture each. Also I own one hundred and fifty acres of land in Johnson County ajoining John Eldredge and two hundred and thirty acres of land in Sampson County adjoining where I live which I want my Executor to sell and to sell all my stock of horses, cows, hogs, sheep, corn fodder, bacon lard & potatoes and all articles not mentioned in this will on a credit of six months. Item - It is my wish that what bead clothes remain after furnishing the beads I have willed be divided into three equal shares and be given one share to Olive McKinnes children, one share to Ann Crawfords children and one share to Mary Hooks children. Item - It is my wish that my Executor after my decease shall cause the graveyard where my husband, my children, and myself will be placed to have a nice brick wall built around it in the form of a square or oblong and to deduct from my estate the expenses of the same. And whereas I am bound in a bond to Lem. Whitfield to make a title to the land on which I live, and the right and title of the same, lies in Olive McKinne - now if the said Olive refuses to make the title I am bound for, and my estate should have to pay the same or any part thereof and in consequence thereof should my estate not be sufficient to pay all the legacies I have bequeathed above if any must be deducted from the legacies I have bequeathed to the children of said Olive. And I do hereby nominate and appoint my friend Archd Monk of said County and State my Executor to this my last will and testament.
