Mrs. Mallory was a life long resident of Hawkins County and was a member of the Grassy Creek Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by an infant child; her parents, Ulysses Grant and Lura Thompson Matthews; brothers, Johnny Matthews and Lloyd Matthews; sisters, Luna Benton, Dellie Mowell, Nellie Hughes, and Mary Crigger; and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Becky Mallory, Bristol, Jeff and Lisa Mallory, Paul Mallory, Phillip and Leticia Mallory and William "Willie" Mallory, all of Kingsport, and Steve and Cassandra Mallory, Surgoinsville; one daughter, Elizabeth Mallory, Surgoinsville; grandchildren, Michelle Forbis and husband, Matt, Ashley Mallory, Andrea Mallory, Christine Mallory, Christopher and Caitlyn Mallory, Jacob Painter and Bandy Reed; one great-great-grandson, Matthew Forbis; two brothers, Onnie and Glenn Matthews, both of Ohio; sisters, Virgie Simpson, Church Hill, and Audrey Light, Rogersville; son-in-law, Thomas Trent, Church Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m.Thursday at Grassy Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Services will be conducted Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Grassy Creek Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Teddy Webb, Rev. Tom Hicks, Rev. Lyons Smith, Rev. Kenneth Phillips and Rev. Orville Dolen officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Harris Cemetery.
