The Grand Jurors of the State of Tennessee,elected,impanelled,Sworn and Charged to inquire in August for the County of Haywood upon their oath present that ROBERT WEBB (Junior) late of said County not having the fear of God before his eyes,but being moved and Seduced by the instigation of the devil,on the Seventh day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty one,with force and arms in the county aforesaid in and upon one WILLIAM WEBB inthe peace of God and the said State,then and there being feloneously,wilfully and of his malice aforethought,did make an assault,and that the said ROBERT WEBB with a certain Knife of the value of fifty cents,which he the said ROBERT WEBB in his right hand then and there had and held,the said WILLIAM WEBB in and upon the left breast of him,the said WILLIAM WEBB,then and there feloneously,wilfully and his malice aforethought did strike and thrust,giving to the said WILLIAM WEBB,then and there with the Knife aforesaid.in and upon the left breast of him the said WILLIAM WEBB one Mortal wound,of the depth of three inches,and the breadth of one inch,of which said Mortal wound,the said WILLIAM WEBB,then and there in the County aforesaid instantly died.And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid,do say that the said ROBERT WEBB ___The said WILLIAM WEBB,in Manner and from aforesaid,feloneous,wilfully and of his Malice aforethought,did kill and murder to the evil example of all others in like case offending and against the peace and dignity of the state.
