On the 20th Jany 1846. I have surveyed for John Hill 240 acres of land lying in Range 4 and Sections 5 & 6 of Haywood and Hardeman Counties. Beginning at a Hickory with a Post-oak and 2 Hickory pointers, the North-west corner of an Occupant Survey for 200 acres made originally in the name of John A. Bradford. Running thence West 240 poles to a stake, Black-jack and 2 Post- oak pointers. Then South 145 poles to a stake with 2 Black-oak pointers. Then East 47 poles to a stake Black-oak & Chestnut pointer. Then South 20 1/2 poles to a Dog-wood, Hickory and Chestnut pointers. Then East 176 poles to a stake, Then North 31 1/2 poles to a stake with a Black-oak & Post-oak pointers. Then East 17 poles to a Black-oak & a Post-oak in the West boundary line of said 200 acre Occupant Survey in the name of John A. Bradford , Then North with his line 134 poles to the beginning.
