G. Hill (Cary G. Hill) was one of the sons of John Hill. John Hill was one of the sons of Green Hill (Jr). John Hill and Cary G. Hill lived in the vicinity of Hillville, TN. Number 489 } John Hill } To} Deed } C. G. Hill } Filed and Registered } 25th 1850 at __ o'clock P. M. } This indenture made this 14th day of August in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight between JOHN HILL on the one part & C. G. HILL of the other part and both of the County of Haywood and State of Tennessee. Witness that the said JOHN HILL for & in consideration of the Sum of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to him in hand paid. In witness whereof is hereby acknowledged hath the day and date thereof bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain & sell unto the said C. G. HILL a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Haywood and State aforesaid in the 10th Survey or district in Range 4 and Section 6 being the South part of a two hundred acre tract Granted by the State of Tennessee to the said JOHN HILL, Grant bearing date 9th day of July 1839. The said bargained premises containing one hundred acres beginning at a sweet gum and south east corner of the said two hundred acre tract funning thence North with the line of the original tract one hundred and twenty six poles to a stake Post Oak pointer, thence west one hundred & twenty seven poles to a stake in the west boundary line of the said original tract, thence south with the line of the said original tract, one hundred and twenty six poles to a stake the south west corner of the said original tract. Thence East with the line of the original Survey one hundred & twenty seven poles to the Beginning. To have & to hold the aforesaid bargainer promises together with every part & parcel thereof with all the waters ____and appurtenances belonging on in any wise appurtenances unto him the said C. G. HILL his heirs and assigns forever and I the said JOHN HILL for myself, my heirs & do warrant and forever defend the right and title of the said hereto described one hundred acres of land and the said C. G. HILL his heirs & assigns forever against the lawful claim or claims of all & every person or persons whatsoever.
