Moore and Georgia Ann Moore were the stepchildren of John Hill from his wife Nancy Hines Moore Hill. Their father was George Moore. John Hill was one of the sons of Green Hill (Jr.) and lived in Hillville, Tennessee, as did his brother William Hill. Number 334 } John Hill } To: Deed } 298 acres } S. P. & G. A. Moore } Filed & Registered } 8th October 1850 } at 10 Oclock } A. M. } This indenture made this fifteenth day of June one thousand, eight hundred and fifty. Witnesseth that JOHN HILL of the County of Haywood and State of Tennessee hat the day of the date thereof for and in consideration of the sum of FIVE DOLLARS to him in hand paid - its receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged __ __ for the good will and maintenance of SAMUEL P. MOORE and GEORGIA ANN MOORE of the County of Haywood and the State of Tennessee hat the day and date hereof given, granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do give, grant, bargain and sell unto the said S. P. & G. A. MOORE a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said County of Haywood and State of Tennessee being in Range 5 and Section 6. Beginning at JAMES ETHERIDGE North west corner and __ thence South with his 282 poles to a stake blk and post oak pointers. Thence West 111 poles to a stake 2 black and a post oak pointers then South 35 poles to a water oak with a water oak pointers.. Thence west 76 poles to a stake hickory and black oak pointers then North 242 ½ poles to a stake sweet gum black gum & Red oak pointers, then east 75 poles to a stake 2 Black and one post oak pointers, then North 35 poles to a stake 2 Black and 2 post oak pointers, Thence East 16 poles to a Stake Black oak and Hickory pointers , thence North to J. F. KELSO'S south west corner a Black oak sapling, thence with his line to the Beginning, containing by estimation about 295 acres to them the said S. P. & G. A. MOORE, their heirs and assigns forever. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances thereof belonging and I the said JOHN HILL for myself, my heirs will warrant and forever defend the right and title of the said tract or parcel of land with all and singular its __ and appurtenances unto the said S. P. & G. A. MOORE their heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim or claims of their or my heirs.
