Kelton; Henry's wife was Mary (Mollie) E. Long. J. M. Nichols was the adopted son of Richard Hill. Deed Fount & Henry Hill, et al to J. M. Nichols Filed 27 Mch. 1900 10 oclock a.m. Know all men by these presents that we J. HENRY HILL and wife MOLLIE E. HILL and F. P. hill & wife MOLLIE J. HILL all of Haywood County, State of Tennessee for and in consideration of the love and affection we have and hold for J. N. NICHOLS, and from the fact that our deceased father RICHARD HILL from whom we inherited the hereinafter described lands, intended to give and did give but had failed to make a deed to same and convey it to the said J. M. NICHOLS and wishing to carry out his contracts? and for the consideration above set out do hereby give, grant, transfer and convey unto the J. M. NICHOLS all of our right title and interest in and to the following described tract of land, lying, being and situated in the Civil District No. 1 of Haywood County, Tennessee, and thus particularly described __: Beginning at a cypress with cypress pointers in the extreme N. W. corner of a tract of land sold by JNO. R. WATKINS to F. C. COPPEDGE, runs thence South 146 poles to a stump, with oak and persimmon pointers then West 84 poles to a stake, thence North 146 poles to a stake. The N. E. corner of 1000 (?) acres entered in the name of JAMES WALKER , thence East 84 poles to the beginning, containing 71 acres more or less. To have and to hold to said J. M. NICHOLS his heirs and assignees forever and we covenant with the said J. M. NICHOLS that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said land have a good and perfect right to sell and convey it and the same is unencumbered and we bind our selves, our heirs and representatives to forever warrant and defend the title to same, to him the said J.
