Hill and Wife } To Deed } Henry Hill } Field 9 Day of May } 1900 at 11 o. c. a.m. } KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that we FOUNT HILL & wife MOLLIE J. HILL for and in consideration of the transfer and conveyance by HENRY HILL and wife MOLLIE E. HILL to the said FOUNT HILL of a ½ undivided interest in 205 acres of land made simultaneously with this deed, we hereby sell, transfer and convey and quit claim unto the said HENRY HILL the ½ undivided interest of the said FOUNT HILL in and to the following described tracts of land lying and being and situated in Civil District No. 1 of Haywood County State of Tennessee and this particularly described to wit: 1st tract: Beginning at a stake with __and water oak pointers the south east corner of a tract of land deeded by R. C. MILLER to T. RICE for 38 25/35 acres running thence south 88 poles to a stake and pointers in the north boundary line of the ISAAC HAMORE (sp?) tract now owned by BURRELL HINES. Thence west with his line 9 poles to where said HINES line corners on R. HILL's East line on a stake. Thence north 88 poles to the middle of RICHLAND CREEK. Thence down said creek with its meanderings to where the south boundary of said R. C. MILLER lands (deeded to Rice) leaves said Creek __ with said line of MILLER (now RICE) east in all 91 poles to beginning continuing by estimation 50 1/20 acres and being same tract purchased by RICHARD HILL, deceased, from J. R. MILLER, said deed is now of record in Registers office of Haywood Count in Deed Book 12 on page 116. 2nd Tract: Beginning at a stake the south corner of entry no. 2997 made in the name JOHN HILL for 150 acres running thence north 9 ¼ poles to a stake and pointers. Thence west 8 poles to a stake and pointers. Thence north 135 poles to a stake and black Jack pointer. Thence east 66 ¾ poles to a stake red oak pointers. Thence South 144 ¼ poles to a stake & pointers. Thence west 58 ¾ poles to the beginning continuing by estimation 60 acres and being same tract purchased by RICHARD HILL, decd, from J. M. HINES a deed to which is of records in Deed book No. 4, page 334 of the Registers office of Haywood County, Tennessee. 3rd Tract: Beginning at a stake white oak, post oak and black oak pointers 64 poles south and 74 poles west of the one mile stake east of the north west corner of Section 6. Thence East 127 poles to a __. Thence south 106 poles to a stake post oak pointers. Thence west 127 poles to a stake in the west boundary line of a tract granted by the State of Tennessee to JOHN HILL for 200 acres of which this is a part. Thence north 106 poles to the beginning containing by estimation 84 acres and is same tract conveyed to RICHARD HILL by WM. G. RUTLEDGE by deed of record in Deed Book No 1, page 95, Registers Office of Haywood County. 4th Tract: Beginning at a sweet gum with pointers the south east corner of the land bounded by CARY G. HILL runs thence west 179 ¼ poles to a stake red oak & post oak pointers. Thence north 144 ¼ poles to a stake Spanish oak pointers. Thence East 127 poles to a stake post oak pointers. Thence south 126 poles to the beginning containing 148 acres more or less and is same land conveyed to RICHARD HILL, deceased by J. M. HINES a deed to which is now recorded in the Registers office of Haywood County in Deed Book No. 4 at page 286. 5th Tract: Beginning at a stake black oak and black gum pointers the beginning __of entry no. 234 made in the name of RICHARD HILL for 252 acres runs thence west __to a stake and post oak pointers . Thence north 13 1/3 poles to a stake post oak and 2 red oak pointers. Thence east 60 poles to a stake chestnut and small black walnut pointer. Thence south 13 1/3 poles to the beginning continuing by estimation 50 acres more or less and bought by R. HILL deceased of THOMAS RICE on December 30th 1868. 6th Tract: Beginning at a stake with black oak and black gum pointers in the west boundary line of entry No. 1918 in the name of M. A. JOHNSON 200 acres running thence south with this __ 34 poles to a _ maple pointers. Then west 119 poles to a black jack two black jack pointers. Then north 139 poles to a stake post oak and other pointers. Thence east 42 poles to a black jack and passing said black jack east in all 59 poles to another black jack with black jack and post oak pointers. Thence south 100 poles to a stake 2 post oak pointers. Thence east 60 poles to the beginning containing 65 acres more or less. To have and hold to the said HENRY HILL his heirs and assigns forever. We covenant with said HENRY HILL that we will forever warrant and defend the title to said above described tracts of land to him and his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims of any and all persons claiming under us. As a further consideration for the interest in the lands herein conveyed to the said HENRY HILL and wife joined with the said FOUNT HILL and wife in a deed to 219 acres of land to CORA BELL HARDY, daughter of said FOUNT HILL and wife, and thereby conveying said HENRY HILL's ½ interest in said land. We also transfer and convey for the same consideration the following described tract of land, to wit: Beginning at a stake two black oak & hickory pointers, runs thence east 95 poles to a stake 2 chestnut hickory and black oak pointers, thence south 133 poles to a stake in cleared lands, thence west 44 poles to a stake 3 red oak pointers, thence north 92 poles to a stake with black jack and post oak pointers, thence west 53 poles to a gum __ thence north 41 poles to the beginning containing 49 acres and 80 square poles being same land set out and described in __Book K, Page 250 of the count court of Haywood County, Tennessee but excepting and __ __ 34 acres and 18 square poles conveyed by RICHARD HILL to MARSHAL WILL….by deeds now of record in the Register's office of Haywood County, Tennessee in Book no. 8 at page 104 and described as follows: Beginning at a stake with red oak pointers at the north west corner of *DENIS HILL's (horse/house?) tract and runs north 130 ¾ poles to a stake two small post oak pointers in BURL HINES south line then east with said line 41 ¾ poles to a stake with large oak pointers in A. JOHNSON'S west line. Thence south with his line 130 ¾ poles to a stake. Thence west 41 ¾ poles to beginning and leaving out conveyed herein 15 acres more or less.
