It is located on both side of the highway and extends down a steep slope on the eastern side. It is kept mown. There are dozens of unmarked and fieldstone-marked graves. In 1998 the sign on the church read Reagan Baptist Church. David Donahue recorded Barren Springs Cemetery November 28, 1992; updated it November 27, 1998; and checked and updated it March 14, 2004.
