HENDERSON COUNTY, TN - CEMETERIES - Hayes Cemetery ========================================================================= David Donahue, the creator of this file, declares it to be in the public domain. ========================================================================= HAYES CEMETERY Henderson County, Tennessee This cemetery is located on the Darden-Christian Chapel Road about three miles north of Darden. It seems to be primarily a family cemetery for the family of James Hays. In 1992 it was not being maintained although brush had been removed recently. David Donahue recorded this cemetery February 13, 1991 and rechecked it May 3, 1992. There seem to be at least a dozen fieldstones. This cemetery was recorded circa 1975 by Mayrene Kennedy. However, in Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (R. H. Harris, Memphis, 1976), Vol. III, p. 576, she only reports on three of the markers and notes "several unmarked graves."
