HENDERSON COUNTY, TN - CEMETERIES - Lewis-Altom Cemetery ================================================================================ David Donahue, the creator of this file, declares it to be in the public domain. ================================================================================ LEWIS-ALTOM CEMETERY Henderson County, Tennessee The Lewis-Alton Cemetery is located at the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church on Corinth Road near its intersection with Nealis Woods Road, about 8 miles north of Darden. The cemetery is well maintained. David Donahue recorded this cemetery December 23, 1997 and checked and updated it October 4, 2003. Several older marble markers has been cleaned before the visit. Cova Lewis made an earlier record of this cemetery circa 1974. This record appears in Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (R. H. Harris, Memphis, 1976), Vol. II, pp. 523-524. This earlier work is referred to as "Lewis" in the notes below.
