LINDSEY CEMETERY

            Lindsey Cemetery is a well-maintained family 
cemetery located at the southern end of Lindsey Cemetery Road. 
It is hard to determine the age of the cemetery. If 
fieldstones have been removed, it could be quite old. There 
are four clearly marked but unidentified graves, including 
that of a child buried 20 yards west of the nearest marker. 
There also appear to be faint depressions from several 
unmarked graves between the gate and the majority of the 
marked graves.

            David Donahue recorded this cemetery April 16, 
1998 and updated it October 10, 2003. Anita Webb, Pam Brady, 
and Sammie Lewis recorded this cemetery circa 1976. Their 
record appears Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery 
Inscriptions (R. H. Harris, Memphis, 1976), Vol. II, p. 239.
