HENDERSON COUNTY, TN - CEMETERIES - Union Grove Cemetery ========================================================================= David Donahue, the creator of this file, declares it to be in the public domain. ========================================================================= UNION GROVE CEMETERY Henderson County, Tennessee This well-maintained cemetery is located at Union Grove Baptist Church on Blue Goose Road in western Henderson County. Of particular interest at this cemetery is the unusual concrete cover used for Britt family graves. The concrete cover simulates the old practice of mounding graves. Seven graves are marked with flowers, concrete covers, or temporary marker plates with no information. David Donahue recorded Union Grove Cemetery January 16, 1999 and checked and updated it December 2, 2003. Karen and Phyllis Blankenship recorded this cemetery circa 1973. Their record appears in Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (R. H. Harris, Memphis, Tennessee, 1976), Vol. I, pp. 177-178. This earlier work is referred to as "Blankenship" in the notes below.
