Rhea Library, Paris, Henry Co, TN: The Parisian Paris, Tenn.; the Paper that Goes Home Friday, November 12, 1926 TWO CALLED IN DEATH AT HENRY Funerals For Two Pioneer Henry Citizens; Mrs. Joyner, Mr. Douglass Called. Joe Douglass, age 83 years and a pioneer settler of the Henry community, died at his home there Tuesday. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at New Bethel Church by the Rev. A. L. Fled of Murray, Ky. Burial was at the church cemetery. Mr. Douglass was a charter member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and a staunch Christian character. He is survived by three sons, Clifford of New Mexico, Tom who lives in Mississippi, and Willie Douglass of Henry. Three daughters also survive--Mrs. Alice Thorne of Canton, Miss.; Mrs. Clara Collins of near Paris, and Mrs. Linda Smith, with whom he lived.
