Revoking and making void other wills by me at any time made. Item First it is my wish and desire that my family have my body decently buried in Christian like manner and that my funeral expenses be paid by my executor herein after made ___ the first moneys that may come into his hands and that all my just debtors (looks like debts to me) be paid as soon as sufficiency shall come into the hands of my executor to enable him to ___ Item second. It is my will and desire that my beloved wife Margaret Jones have all my Estate for (during instead of for?) her "natural life" of every discription and if my grandson should arrive at the age of twenty one (some word here in margin) McHinton Stephens before the death of my beloved wife and should remain with her, then it is my will and desire that she give him out of my estate our horse, bridle and saddle and a suit of clothes and twenty five dollars in cash. Item 3, It is my will and desire that all my estate remaining after the death of my beloved wife, with the exception of my negro boy Henderson and the bequeath made to my grandson McHin(??rest of name)Stephens (?) be sold _____ a credit of twelve months and equally divided between my three granddaughters, to wit, Susan COLE, Betsy S___ Tyler and Kathurine (top part of K didn't show up--same name as next line) McConnell share and share alike with the exception of a fine ureau) which I wish my granddaughter Katherine McConnell to have more than other of the other two granddaughters. Item 4, It is my will and desire that at the death of my beloved wife that my negro boy Henderson be made a freeman upon the payment of one hundred dollars to my beloved daughter Louisa ___ which he is or must pay to her before he be let free and then I so set said boy free. Item 5, It is my will and desire that each of my legal heirs at law not here in named be paid the sum of twenty five cents each by my executor when ever they may apply for the ___ their full compensation of my estate. I do hereby nominate and appoint Robert McConnell my sole executor ______ ________into effect this my last Will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal to this my last Will and Testament this 24th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty and 74th year of American Independence.
