This file was contributed for use in the Tennessee USGenWeb Archives by: Penny Boyer Pbgenealogy@aol.com ============================================================================ DEED From William Anderson to Samuel Peery Hickman County, Tennessee, October 24, 1828 This indenture made this Twenty fourth day of October in the year one thousand Eight Hundred and twenty eight between William Anderson of the County of Hickman and State of Tennessee of the one part and Samuel Peery of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Anderson for and in Consideration of the Sum of Two hundred and seventy five dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained Sold aliened and Confirmed unto the Said Samuel Peery his heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Hickman County and State of Tennessee on Swan Creek of Duck river being part of an hundred acre tract Granted by the State of Tennessee to George Peery a part of the same now held by James Anderson Beginning at the South east Corner of the said 100 Acre Survey runs North thirty eight poles to a Stake with an Elm a Plum bush and Ash pointers thence South 88 degrees West Sixty poles to a Stake with a Hickory and Persimon pointers thence North 11 degrees East nine poles 12 links to a Sugartree thence North 70 degrees West thirty eight poles 13 links to a Dogwood on the West boundry line of Said 100 Acre Survey thence with Said line to the South west Corner of the Same thence East Ninety poles to the Beginning Containing twenty four and one half Acres, And appurtenances and all the estate right title interest property Claim and demand of him the Said William Anderson of in and to the Same, To have and to hold the lands hereby Conveyed with all and Singular the premises and every part and parcel thereof with every of the Appurtenances unto the Said Samuel Peery his heirs and assigns forever And the Said William Anderson for him his heirs exectors and Administrators do covenant promise and agree to and with the said Samuel Peery his heirs and assigns by these presents that the premises before Mentioned Now are and forever hereafter Shall remain free of and from all forever an other gifts grants bargains Sales dowers right and title of dower Judgments executions titles troubles Charges and incumbrances whatsoever done or suffered to be done by him the Said William Anderson and the Said William Anderson and his heirs all and Singular the premises hereby bargained and Sold with the appurtenances unto the Said Samuel Peery his heirs and assigns Against him the Said William Anderson and his heirs and all and every other persons whatsoever doth and will Warrant and forever defend by the presents In witness Whereof he the Said William Anderson hereunto Set his hand and Seal the day and year before Written Signed Sealed and delivered /s/William Anderson Seal In the presents of us /s/ John Burcham /s/ John S Anderson (Written On Outside of Deed) William Anderson To Deed Samuel Peery Exhibit A
