The unfortunate man was taken to his house and the limb amputated at the shoulder by Drs. T.D. Thompson, A. Norris, C. Slayden and T.J. Slyaden. He was in a very dangerous condition, but may recover. He has a wife and several children. Additional Comments: This is my great great grandfather William Henry H. Vales (Vailes). Unfortunately, he did not survive this accident and passed away on March 28, 1887.
