J.A. Knight Cemetery, Halls Creek,
Humphreys County, Tennessee

The J.A. Knight cemetery is located on Halls Creek road ten miles north of 
Waverly on the property of Robert (son of J.A. Knight) and Freda Knight. The 
Cemetery was established in 1887 on property purchased by F. J. Knight, 
father of J.A. Knight, in 1882 and 1883. J. A. Knight, was the great 
grandson of Wade H. Knight one of the earlier Knights to live in the area.
The Wade Knight Cemetery, located on the head of Turkey Creek, was 
established on a portion of a 200 acres Land Grant received in 1841 by Wade 
Knight.
