It is located about 1/4 mile off of Highway 13 South at Tubbs Lane. Notes: One of the interred, Margaret Jane "Maggie" Tubb, who had been a schoolteacher in Waverly for 30 years, left money for the upkeep of this cemetery. It is mowed every three weeks and is set in a beautiful, densely-wooded hillside. As I was on vacation, I did not have the appropriate "equipment" along for this transcription. Rubbings of the stones would have certainly helped in some cases. Although I did not list the engraved images of all of the stones, the images I did record are noted below. Where I have questions of the dates, names, or transcriptions, it is noted. Common grave markers are also noted. Three graves were above ground (and possibly two others at one time, which would appear to be the graves of infants or children). Nathan Tubb (born 1794), Lovey Tubb (born 1794), and Daniel L. Tubb (born 1820). It was the first time I had ever seen an above-ground burial site, other than Native American burial grounds. It was very interesting to see. A gravestone, per se, does not accompany these above-ground sites; the information is engraved in a flat stone on one end. A handful of stones were totally illegible by sight, but rubbings would likely bring out the engraved words.
