Parker and Elizabeth, his wife, Thomas Robbins, Harriett W. Robbins, Mary J. Robbins, Martha Robbins, Keziah, M. Robbins, Joseph Robbins, and John Robbins, heirs at law of John Robbins, dec’d of the State of Tennessee and County of Humphreys of the other part. Witnesseth that where as the above mentioned Thomas Carns, dec’d, in his lifetime, to wit, in the month of April, 1821, executed his hand to one Thomas Curtice in the final sum of twenty four hundred dollars conditioned for the convenyance of a certain tract or parcel of land in the county of Humphreys and state of Tennessee on White Oak Creek containing two hundred and twenty acres more or less and where as also afterwards to wit, on the 26th day of March 1823 the said Thomas Curtice did assign over the land aforesaid with the condition unto the above named John Robbins, dec’d. Now Know ye that I, the said Margarett Carns, administratrix of the said Thomas Carns, dec’d, as aforesaid, in compliance with the conditions of the land aforesaid and for and in consideration of the sum of twelve hundred dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto the said Sally Robbins, Uriah F. Parker & Elizabeth, his wife, Thomas Robbins, Harriett W. Robbins, Mary J. Robbins, Martha Robbins, Keziah M. Robbins, Joseph Robbins, and John Robbins, the heirs at law of the said John Robbins, Dec’d, their heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the county of Humphreys and State of Tennessee aforesaid as follows: To wit, beginning at a large dogwood in Andrew Simpson’s south boundary line running thence east with said line to a poplar and black gum. Thence north two hundred and fifty poles to a post oak and dogwood, thence west to a stake, thence south two hundred and fifty poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the above bargained and sold promises unto the said party of second part forever and I, the said Margarett Carns, administratrix, as aforesaid for myself as administratrix of one said and for the heirs of the said Thomas Carns, dec’d, the above bargained and sold promises together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtances there unto belonging or in anywise apportaining unto the said several persons above named of the second part, heirs at law of the said John Robbins, dec’d, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns against myself, my heirs, executor, administrator, and assigns and against the heirs and assigns of the said Thomas Carns, dec’d, and against all and every other person or persons wheresoever doth and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
