State of Tennessee This Indenture between Jane Clark, G W Clark and wife M A Clark, Elizabeth Melton and husband Prigon Melton and Margaret Clark of the first part and Steven Forrister of the 2nd part witnesseth, that the said Jane Clark, G W Clark, M A Clark, Elizabeth Melton, Prigon Melton and Margaret Clark for and in consideration of Seventy five dollars to them in had paid the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey unto the said Steven Forrister his heirs and assigns all the right title claim and interest and estate they have in and to the following described tract of land to with lying and being situated in the 3rd civil district of Humphreys Count and state of Tennessee being a part of a fifteen acre tract of land of which Robert Clark dec'd seized and possessed and is bound as follows. Beginning at a rock the south east corner of a tract of landing containing 4 3/4acres belonging to Mary B. Forrister formerly Mary B. Niblett running thence west ____the said Mary B. Forristers south west corner at 40 poles in all 42 poles to a chestnut. Thence south 10 poles to a rock. Thence 40 poles to a rock in A A Wilsons west boundary line. Thence north with said Wilsons line 19 poles to the beginning containing 4 acres more or less. The interest in said lands vested in each of said parties and herein convey being as follows, in the saide Jane Clark a life time estate in the whole of said land and in GW Clark, Elizabeth Melton and Margaret Clark each an undivided one third part of said land subject to the life estate of said Jane Clark, to have and to hold the same to the said Steven Forrister his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jane Clark, GW Clark, MA Clark, Elizabeth Melton, Prigon Melton, Margaret Clark do covenant with the said Steven Forrister that they are lawfully seizure and possessed of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. They do further covenant and bind themselves their heirs and representatives to forever warrant and defend the title to the said land to the said Stephen Forrister his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
