Will Book 8 pg 192 - 193 May 20, 1895 Will of D. D. Cooley I D. D. Cooley being of sound mind and having the right of my reason and knowing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of Death, make this my last Will and Testament revoking all others hereto for having been made my me. I commit my body to the dust from which it came and my soul to God who gave it It is my will that my remains be entered in the burial ground near Union Chapel Church It is my will that my funeral expenses be paid out of the first monies coming unto the hands of my executor her in after mentioned It is my will that all my just debts be paid out of my estate by my executor herein after mentioned I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Emily E. Cooley all of my Real Estate on Little Richland Creek that I paid six hundred and twenty dollars for. It being the land now occupied by myself and family with all rents profits vc during her natural life and at her death it is my will that said real estate be sold to the best advantage and equally divided between our children consisting of Euda S. Annie L Addie D. Hattie A. David E. and Willie Cooley I will Emily E. Cooley all my personal property of every kind and order. Monieys Notes and accounts that I may die seized and possessed of to dispose of as she may think best and proper in the raising and educating our children. It is my will and so I request that my Executors hold up a promissory note that I hold against ny Son in Law W.D. Wheatly for sixty seven and 50/100 dollars with accured interest thereon untill the real estate here in after mentioned be sold and the said W.D. Wheatly and wife or lawfully heirs is to take said note with accured interest as part of their interest in the proceeds of the sale of said real estate here in after mentioned. It is my desire and so I request that my Executors sell my river farm that I give eight hundred dollars for known as a part of the Wisley Wynne farm as they think best at my death and the proceeds be equaly divided between my first wifes children to wit: Robt N., Mary J., Elizabeth A., Ellen, Sarah, and Weily or their legal heirs or representatives. I here by appoint my wife Emily E. Cooley and Nephew Char. M. Cooley as Executrix and Executor of this my last will and Testament without Bond.
