It is approximately 1 1/2 -- 2 miles North of the Wartrace Cemetery on the left side of the road (going North) behind a brick home (I think the name of the folks who live there was Huffines). They are now in the process of trying to clean up the plot, but more work needs to be done as I am sure several of the stones are buried in underbrush and dirt. The following is a list of folks who are buried there (on the legible stones): John L. Carver b. 10/04/1868 d. 10/13/1868 Seath H. Carver b 02/11/1888 d. 04/27/1888 Cornelius P. Additional Comments from the WPA listing: The Teel Graveyard is located in the 3rd Civil District of Jackson County, and Wartrace Creek, about 1/2 mile above the Camp around Methodist Church, also 12 miles West of Gainsboro. The land forerly owned by Adam Teel, who came from Virginia, or North Carolina soon after 1800. This farm was sold to his son, William Teel, who later sold same farm to Cornelius Carver, and moved to Texas. Adam Teel and his wife are buried here and other members of the Teel family. There are many graves here, with only a few of them marked. Many slaves were buried in this graveyard, a few of their graves marked with a flat rock, but have no names or dates on them. This land is now owned and cultivated by Walter Draper, his residence but few yards from the above named graveyard. Additional Graves not in the above listing: Adam Teel and Wife, Mary Shaw Teel Their graves have a coffin shaped rock over each grave, no names or dates given. R. F. Richmond and Manda J. Richmond (The parents of N. B. Richmond, grand parents of Esquire Jno. E. Richmond, now living in Sumner County, Tennessee). Cornelius H. Carver b. 2/03/1870 d. 4/02/1864 J. W.
