Allen having took care of myself for a considerable time & in consideration of his attention to the suit lately determined in the Chancery Court at Gainesboro between myself and Pinkney McCarver & others and R.M.Kinnard against Solomon Allen & others, I do hereby transfer and convey unto said J.W.Allen & his heirs forever that part of said tract of land Known as the ten acre tract & all that part retained by me of the final decree in said cause said tracts of land lies on the waters of Flynns Creek in the 11th District of Jackson County and the ten acre tract Bounded as follows Beginning on a Chestnut on top of the hill between the Sulpher hollow & the bridge branch running East to a Small hickory on top of the hill near the house in the old 100 acre tract thence with that line crossing the Sulpher hollow to the top of the hill to a Stake thence with the Cornwell & Allen line to the conditional line between J.T. Anderson & myself thence with the conditional line northwardly until it Strikes Richmonds line thence with Richmonds line until it strikes the West boundry of the ten acre tract thence with that line to the beginning I covenant with the said J.W. Allen that I am lawfully seized of said land & have a good right to convey the same & will warrant & defend the title thereto against the lawful claims of all persons whatever given under my hand this the 11th day of May 1885 his Soloman x Allen mark her Mariah x Allen mark State of Tennessee Jackson County Personally appeared before me J.W. Draper Clerk of the County Court of said County Mariah Allen & Soloman Allen the within named bargainors with whom I am personally acquainted & who acknowledged that they executed the within instrument to be their act and Deed for the purposes therein expressed.
