Lacy Recd for Registration the 24th day of Jany 1850 at 3"oclock P. M. J. M. Gipson Register Recorded in my office in Book G page 743 J. M. Gipson R. of J.C. Registers fee $1.00 We Rusil M. Kinnaird & Thomas L. Bransford merchants by name of Kinnaird & Bransford of the county of Jackson and state of Tennessee have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to William Lacy of said county and state aforesaid and his heirs forever for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars to us in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the following described tract of land situate lying and being in said county and state aforesaid and on the waters of Blackburns fork of Roaring River. Beginning at a white oak in said Kinnaird & Bransford's east boundary line of their fifty acre tract running thence east eighty poles to a black oak and post oak pointes thence south crossing at the junction of Durgins [Dungins?] Branch and the School House Branch at twenty one poles and passing the north west corner of a survey of Robert Lawsins at forty four poles and with his line in all one hundred and ten poles to a white oak and two dogwoods for pointes thence west forty three poles to a black oak in the east boundary line of Robert's thence north with his line sixteen poles to a white oak Robert's north east corner thence west with the north boundary line eighty six poles to a black oak dogwood and hickory in the east boundary line of a survey of J. L. Turner's and Lane's [?] thence north with their line ninety two poles to a stake in said line thence east fifty four poles to the beginning containing eighty one acres to have and to hold the same to the said William Lacy his heirs and assigns forever. We do covenant with the said Wm. Lacy that we are lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. We do further convenant and hold ourselves our heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the tittle to the said and evry part thereof to the said William Lacy his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever, this 24th day of January 1850. signed sealed and delivered in our presence Watson M.
